Title: Novel formulas for data-driven control design
Abstract: In recent years we have proposed to design controllers by solving data-dependent formulas that take the form of convex programs. In this talk, we take stock of a few recent results that tackle advanced data-driven control problems.
Biography:
Claudio De Persis is a professor with the Engineering and Technology Institute, University of Groningen, the Netherlands, since 2011. He received his Ph.D. degree in Engineering from the University of Rome "la Sapienza", Italy, in 2000, after which he was a postdoctoral researcher with Washington University in St. Louis (2000-2001) and Yale University (2002). Before joining the University of Groningen, he was with the University of Rome "la Sapienza" (2003-2009) and Twente University, Enschede, the Netherlands (2009-2011). His research interest is in automatic control and its applications.
